Altitude Lite i Waterproof is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Comfort Bought these boots a month ago and I'm pleased with the quality and comfort. I have shopped endless hours for shoes I can wear all day with my plantar fasciitis and these are the best I have found.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Boot I've Ever Owned! I bought these boots and didn't really get to seriously break them in and about two weeks later i went on a hiking trip to Ontario. They held up really well and i never got a single blister. Even slipped on a rock and dunked the whole boot under water and within 10 minutes it was dry. The grip on these boots are amazing as well, I could climb up rather steep angles on flat rock and i love using them when working on my steel roof because they dont slip in the slightest!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Boots These are my 4th pair of Hi-Tec hiking boots. The first three pairs fit the bottom of my feet like a glove from the first moment I put them on, so I was a little concerned when this pair did not. However, after walking in them for about 3 hours (not all at once), they fit fine. I have tried many different brands of hiking boots in the past and Hi-Tec are definitely the best for me. My only complaint is that the shoelaces that came with the boot are too short. They were so short initially that I could not tie double-knots, which caused me to have to re-tie them ever 30 minutes. They have stretched out so now I can just barely tie double knots, but it would be nice to have longer laces. I strongly commend Hi-Tec for including a higher quality removable insole with this model. I hope you are now doing this on all your models. I know reviewers in the past have commented on the flimsy insoles on this website, and it's nice to know that you folks read and act on the reviews. Well done!

I have a bunion and a hammer toe on the right foot, making all shoes, including regular length High Techs, now harder to fit correctly. What Hi Tech hiking boot in a wide width would give me the most space in the toe well and for my bunion?

Asked by: jmar
We would recommend the Bandera Mid WP which has a larger toe box. The Bandera is also available in EEE sizing if needed.

Is this considered a warm weather boot? I just purchased a pair of Logans, and I love the way they fit, but they are too warm for a Louisiana Summer. I will save them for cooler weather and will buy another pair for warm weather. Suggestions?

Asked by: Ed3303
Both the Logan and Altitude Lite are very popular boots. Similarly, they both have a Dri-Tec waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry and provide breathability.

I bought my pair of HI-TEC Altitude hiking boots in the Fall of 2016.  The only trouble I have had is I have been through 2 pair of laces and now on the third set. Where can I find a set of laces that will last?

What is the difference between this boot (Altitude lite i Waterproof) and the Eagle Ridge i Waterproof I just purchased at Big 5? They look almost exactly the same and seem to have the same specs.

Asked by: Rick

Describe this shoe's waterproofing methods in more detail. Is the material breathable, water-wicking, waterproof, etc. (e.g., Gore-tex)? A customer described your Altitude IV Dry-Tec as not being breathable. Is this in the Lite version also?
