Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome shoe! Laces not so I worn for about two weeks and they are great. The only problem so far is the laces are separateting. The woven part is coming off white cord lace part. I've sent Hi tech a message, hopefully the will ship me a pair of laces. Now as for the insoles they are not the greatest, real flimsy but these are the lower end price shoes so you shouldn't expect top of the line insoles. I replaced them with a pair of Pro Foot insole that cost 10 bucks ( see picture of side by side. But overal this is a pretty good shoe. I'm a U S Postal working and my route is mostly rural. They have worked out perfect for the price so far. I'll come back in six months and let you know how they hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So GREAT! 3rd day wearing this shoe....I was first a little worried about it's isn't as lite a shoe that I would normally pick out...the the stability is awesome and the wide width is the ticket for my foot. "Water proof" boots can be warm and sweaty...not this one....very, very comfortable. Hiking in northern Florida in early September.....90+ degrees and 90% problems.....I'm really liking this shoe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I have been purchasing foot ware from Hi-Tec for a while and have never been disappointed. This is my first low cut purchase and I am very pleased. Good fit, quality workmanship, very good price, fast delivery. A year or so ago I returned a pair of hiking boots due to a fit issue. The return/exchange was painless and quick. This may be my last purchase. The shoes/boots wear so well that they will probably outlast me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit I have purchased Hi-Tec shoes for several years now for both the consistently good fit as well as the quality build. The Bandera is no different in this respect. In a rural area in central California, I wear Hi-Tec exclusively. Even when in town. They support my feet (74 years old) and provide me with good stability. I recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My first purchase and , so far , so good. A little heavy and a little warm while I break them in in the house but very comfortable on my feet and they seem to be very well made.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Craftmanship I used to buy Hi-Tec all the time because they lasted forever and were comfortable. I bough 2 pairs of these shoes in the last year, and both failed in the same way. I bought the first pair in November and by January one of the lace hooks tore out of the shoe. I though it was a fluke, so I bought a second pair in February. Same thing, in June the lace hook tore out when I was tying my shoe. Also, the laces are terrible (replacement laces in pic). They tear and fray in less than a month. This is not heavy use (2-3 times a week in town, not on the trail). Looks like my last pair of Hi-Tec shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bandera Low Waterproof Shoes I just received my Bandera Hiking shoes and was very surprised! They are more than I expected, the quality, looks, comfort and you can't beat the price. In fact I am going to order another pair in a different color. I had bought this pair for every day use but they are so good looking (per my wife) the second pair will be for when we going out to eat, shopping and every where we go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoe This is the second pair of Hi Tec shoes that I've purchased for my husband & he loves them. They give him great arch support which is what he needs.

what are your simple width letters W-WP -EE-EEE -D ?? are these 5 different widths? mine are WP Thank you

Asked by: TONE
"WP" stands for waterproof. Most of our footwear is waterproof except for a few spring/summer items. "M" or "D" stands for medium width, which is the regular width. "EEE" are our wide boots.

I need these shoes in a size 13. The pair i have split and i need a new pair, hopefully they will last longer.

Asked by: Ken R
Unfortunately, we do not have the Bandera Low WP Bone/Brown/Mustard in a size 13 at this time. However, we should receive replenishment mid January. If you are looking for an alternative option we have the Bandera II Low WP Smokey Brown/Olive/Snow currently in stock in a size 13.

I"m confused.............You email response said that EE is a medium width, but when you order, a medium width says D. Other manufactures have more than 1 wide width; do you ? PLEASE HELP - I LOVED MY PREVIOUS HI-TEC'S. -- DEAN

Asked by: DEAN
On our website, D width represents medium width. EEE sizing refers to a wide width.

I need size of 7.5 medium W...Is it any change to have it?

Asked by: Eduabe
According to my inventory report, we have 1 pair of the 7.5 Bandera Low WP in size 7.5. If that pair does get purchased, we are expected to have inventory on January 1st. Another recommendation for a low cut hiker would be our Bandera II Low WP.

I currently have a pair of Hi-Tec Bandera that have lasted MANY years. The current Bandera has only EEE width listed--is that accurate? Have loved these shoes. I cannot see a width inside my current pair.

Asked by: Jerry
We currently have stock of the Bandera Low WP medium width. The only sizes that we are out of stock for a medium width is 7, 8.5, 13 and 14. If one of those are you size, we will be getting inventory on January 1st.

How long are the laces? What length laces do I need to get a replacement if I order them?

Asked by: BW24
We would recommend a 36in lace for the Bandera Low.

Asked by: DEAN
Hi Dean, Good question! EEE represents "Wide" widths, and EE represents "Medium" widths, so yes "EEE" is wider. We have a variety of styles in both "EEE' width and "EE" width.
