Bandera Low Waterproof is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wide foot fit. I was disappointed when they discontinued the Montana (wide), tried some other wide shoes, but they simply didn't hold up for long. This is my every day shoe and my 10-2E feet can depend on getting a fit with Hi-Tec wide width. I've always found their shoes to be incredibly durable and I have Hi-Tecs for day-hiking and backpacking, too. Thinking about buying another pair of these to keep, in waiting, for the three or 4 years from now when these wear out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from finally! Happened upon Hi-Tec while browsing the local sports shop. Checked the website, ordered and OMG finally- products that are built for everyday use and for more than a few months. Worn them everyday since, any weather and all terrain...the soles look brand new still. Waiting for a 2nd order to arrive...couldn't resist a sale!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two years and going strong I bought a pair of these about two years ago. I was 61 with plantar fasciitis in my left foot. After a few days the pain was gone and has stayed away. I work in a retail store, and am on my feet most of the day, walking back and forth. Two days ago I had to wade through water that came up to the top of my shoes, yet my socks stayed dry! I will say that the shoes are rather stiff and heavy, but that is a small trade-off for the support and relief they give me. My feet measure out to a size 11, but in this shoe a 12 fits perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really should be 5 stars...BUT.... These shoe where an answer to my prayers. Live in AR. and almost every morning there is dew and wet socks.... Try most of the name brand tennis shoes and in a few months time they would come unglued, no good at $50, $60 a pop... I dig ditches, cut fire wood, garden and so on. Been wearing them every day for 8 months now. My 1 complaint. Instead of an eyelets at the top there is a steel hook which on boots are great, but low cuts and they take a toll on laces, on by 3rd pair.. Get rid of the hooks and 5 Stars all the way.......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this shoe I just took this shoe on the seven sister waterfall hike in Grenada. Very wet and extremely muddy.I had my shoes hosed off at the end of the hike. My socks were dry inside the shoe. I think I had the only dry socks. They are very comfortable. I am going to buy these again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight yet rugged Just bought the Bandera Low after having a pair of Altitude V Low for a few months and I was just plain brutal on them. The Altitude V low took everything I threw at them and came back for more. The Banderas are keeping pace with the Altitude Low pair too. At this point I can't figure out which is my favorite pair. Even with the whacky weather we have been having here in NY they have kept my feet warm and dry. No problem with wearing them all day in the office and out in the field. I trek 13 blocks in NYC each way to work from Penn Station, not to mention hiking in from the hinterlands of the Long Island Rail Road parking lots. In short, I do a lot of walking, climbing stairs, etc. in these shoes over all types of terrain from city streets to job sites and everything in between. I was surprised how well these shoes supported my foot and how well the cushioning held up especially since I have a case of plantar fasciitis. Since I have been wearing these Hi Tech shoes almost exclusively the pain in my foot has disappeared. I highly recommend these shoes. Already I have turned on several guys at work to this brand and they too have bought more than one pair. In fact, I am already looking for my third pair myself.

Is it possible to color the suede to a black color, or even purchase these shoes in black? I'm supposed to have black shoes for work and they need to be waterproof. Thanks

Asked by: dcport
We do not recommend that you try to alter the color of the upper. We do not have the Bandera Low in black. However, we do have a Bandera Mid 200 WP in black which is waterproof. There is also a work version, the Bandera Pro Mid Waterproof Steel Toe, if you need a more protective work boot. This also is available in black.

I have to replace a pair of Hi-Tec Mid Falcon WP boots whose soles have finally worn out.  How do the Bandera's low & mid compare in fit?  I wear a 10.5 W and I liked the Falcon's because of the wide toe box.  I also have worn the Altitude Mids for years.

Asked by: MartyG
Yes, the Bandera Low and Mid would be a comparable fit to the Falcon and the toe box. The Logan WP is another option that would be similar in fit and comes in wide sizing.

I wear size 14 in Brooks Adrenaline. I wear 13 in Clark shoes. What size should I wear in the Bandera Low Waterproof?

Asked by: Bob Hood
The Bandera Low WP runs true to size. Therefore we recommend the shoe size you wear the most consistently.
